“High school was the most fun, difficult, confusing, eye-opening, and influential four years of my life. If I were to give some advice to the younger classes of Visitation, my first piece of advice would be “If you don’t know it by midnight, you won’t know it for the test.” I wish that I lived by this quote in my first three years at Vis, but I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve stayed up until 4 AM studying for a test. My second piece of advice is to find one or two teachers and become really close to them. I did this with Mr. Traxler my junior and senior year and Mrs. Sutton my senior year, and without these two teachers, there is zero way I would have survived junior and senior year. My last piece of advice is to just enjoy yourself. People say that high school goes by in a flash and you never believe them until you have one week left of school and you feel like freshman orientation was last week. Take time to treat yourself, don’t push yourself too hard, and enjoy the small moments with your friends and family. Enjoy the years you have here and don’t have any regrets once you graduate.”
