This school year has proven to be another successful debate season for Junior co-captain Izzy Brandt. Izzy placed first at the Section 4 Lincoln-Douglas Debate Championship with a 5-1 record! She then moved on to the Minnesota State Debate Tournament at the University of Minnesota where she finished her season as a quarterfinalist and as the highest-ranking female Lincoln-Douglas debater in Minnesota. Throughout the season, Izzy placed top five in the varsity division of several tournaments and recieved the Brian Plunkett Memorial Award for Creative Debate, an award named after a former STA student given annually to one debater who exhibits innovative and unique arguments.

Meghan Quinlan is an executive editor for The Visitation Voice. As a senior at Visitation, she takes part in the tennis team, the alpine skiing team, Spanish club, and has been a writer for the school newspaper since freshman year. Meghan enjoys spending time with her classmates inside and outside of school. When she is not doing homework, you can find Meghan at the yoga studio, volunteering, or making iced lattes with her Keurig. In the future, she hopes to study journalism or marine biology on the East or West Coast. This year, she looks forward to leading The Visitation Voice through its new chapter.
